Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026 · SolenLabs LLC

At Bonva, your privacy is foundational to everything we build. Relationships are deeply personal, and we treat the information you share with us with the care and respect it deserves. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

Information collected automatically:

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your private conversations with Nova for advertising. Your relationship data is yours.

3. Data Storage

Most of your Bonva data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage — meaning it lives on your device, not our servers. This includes your quiz scores, daily question responses, bucket list, timeline, and mood logs.

When you create an account, your profile data is stored securely in Supabase (our database provider). When you use Nova, your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's data handling practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy. We do not store your Nova conversation history on our servers.

Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card information.

4. Partner Linking

When you connect with your partner using a room code, we store a link record in Supabase linking your two accounts. This allows both partners to see each other's quiz scores and daily question answers. No private conversation data is shared between accounts. Either partner may disconnect at any time through Settings.

5. Data Sharing

We share your information only with:

We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties for commercial purposes.

6. Therapist Review

The Therapist Review area is password-protected and intended solely for licensed mental health professionals working with clients who have chosen to share their Bonva data. Therapists are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from their clients before accessing this area.

7. Children's Privacy

Bonva is designed for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at support@bonva.app and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

If you are a resident of California, the EU, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, you may have additional rights. Please contact us to exercise them.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Account data is stored in Supabase with row-level security enabled.

However, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately at support@bonva.app if you suspect any unauthorized access.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Bonva after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
